HOW TO // Applying beard oil

Afternoon, ladies and gentlebeards. Hope everyone is holing up okay. We figured since our other blog posts on beard care have been pretty popular, we'd make it a regular occurrence! (See 'What is the difference between beard balm and oil' and 'How to optimise your beard growth')

Starting with one our most frequently asked questions; how to apply beard oil.

It's best to start with a clean (shampooing with our very own new and imporved shampoo bar) , fresh-out-of-the-shower, towel dried beard; the cuticles of the hairs will still be slightly open and most susceptible to absorbing all of the oils nutrients. Begin with 1-2 drops of oil. (It's easier to add more if need be, and will stop you from wasting any of the beardy nectar!) Add to the palm of your hands, rub together then massage into the beard and skin beneath. Finish by combing the beard with a comb or natural bristle brush.

Top tips? We're glad you asked.

- Don't forget to screw the lid back on straight away; we can tell you from experience that it will save a whole lot of heartbreak.

- Apply after sorting out your barnet, Old Joll's beard oil will have you looking like severus snape and his greasy curtains in no time!

Use as often as you like, daily, twice-daily, it's up to you! There's no right or wrong way, you'll end up finding the perfect beard care routine for you with a bit of experimentation and trial & error.

As always, we're happy to answer your mostly beard related questions (although we'll do our best to advise what you should eat for dinner, should the question arise) send us an email over on info@thebrightonbeardcompany.co.uk.

Hope this has helped, and have a great week folks!
