DAVES MOVEMBER JOURNEY :: Finale

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've grown a Mo that's full
I wrote a blog each and every Friday
And more, much more than this
I beat my target by a long way
//
Movember 2018 has come to a close, Money and awareness has been raised and that means in turn lives will be saved. It's such a hugely important cause and I feel proud and privileged to have been part of it this year. I've been amazed at the reaction I've had from friends, family and strangers. People have been so generous with their donations (Movember are still taking donations now) and its opened up a lot of conversations about mental health and if we can all honestly and openly talk about these issues, thats half the battle won!
//
Having had a beard for so long it felt like a bigger deal than it probably should have to go clean shaven a month ago. But, with each week that passed and with each millimetre my moustache grew so did the donations and although its not about me or for me its hard not to feel a sense of pride. I've also come to love the Mo look and think I'm gonna keep it going for a while longer, see where it takes me. Just me my tache my wax and comb vs the world.
//
So, to sum up:
  • Thank you for your donations!
  • Keep the conversations around metal health open and honest and support each other!
  • I am smug for beating my target
  • I like my moustache

    Thanks again, until next year.
    Signing off,
    Dave
