About Us

Established, designed and manufactured in the seaside town of Brighton, our brand encapsulates the style and spirit of the bearded lifestyle. The Brighton Beard Company was founded in 2013 with one motive – to create a distinctive beard care range that championed both style and nourishment for the urban beardsman.

The Brighton Beard Company is an all natural range of beard grooming products. From beard oils, balms and moustache waxes through to combs and wash bags, we work hard to create honest, simple and good quality beard care. Each and every product is made with pure, wholesome ingredients, carefully chosen for their beard benefits and their impeccable fragrance.

The hand crafted, small batch nature of our wares means that when you purchase from #brightonbeardco, you can be sure that your goods were created with a whole lot of care and affection in-house by our small, yet dedicated team. Let's get acquainted...

Since The Brighton Beard Company’s humble beginnings in 2013, Lloyd has been at the forefront of pushing the company to the next level and business milestone. Wearing many hats, Lloyd has many roles in the company. From hand blending Old Joll’s beard oils to advertising, and packing up orders to SEO, Lloyd manages the business. Darting from task to task, Lloyd makes The Brighton Beard Company all that it is, whilst keeping a cool head. When he’s not working, Lloyd enjoys admiring successful businesses, going to the gym, playing video games & hanging out with friends over a nice cold beer.

Favourite product: "The Miller's beard shampoo bar. This little fella lathers up a dream and leaves both my head hair and my beard incredibly soft."

With a love for solving problems creatively; when her partner, Lloyd (above) came up with the idea for a new beard care range, Jessica had a field day creating The Brighton Beard Company brand. Jessica’s background in fashion media along with her passion for beauty and cosmetics has certainly come in handy. She is responsible for the graphics / visuals and deals with wholesale, but isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty oily and chip in with manufacture or dispatching of orders. When Jessica’s not dreaming of brownies, you can usually find her hanging out with little Bill (opposite), engrossed in the computer screen drooling over Pinterest or scheming ideas for home interiors and DIY.

Favourite product: "Has to be Old Joll's Ylang Ylang & Sandalwood beard oil. It's my favourite scent. If the ends of my hair need some TLC, a few drops of this stuff and I'm good to go."

When she's not selling good-looking and eclectic homeware through her home decor store, The Good Times Homestore, Emily is part of the production team here at Brighton Beard Co HQ. Whether it's packing up orders or pouring our oils, Emily is always on hand when the orders are mounting (or the office is in need of some old fashioned sass). Emily also runs creative workshops from her Lewes store, edits the Good Times lifestyle blog and enjoys Otis Redding, red wine and taking pictures of her cat. Find evidence of the latter here.

Favourite product: "They all smell divine but it'd probably be Old Joll's beard oil in Mandarin & Cedarwood.
It's such a warming smell and reminds me of being in my fiancé's wood workshop!"

Favourite product: "Of course, it has to be the Sven Signe den Hartogh X  Brighton Beard Co beard oil - not just because it's our own, but because of the love that went into the collaboration and the lovely scent it carries!"

Originally from the flat fields of southern Sweden, these two ‘sisters from different bearded misters’ life journeys ended up crossing each others one sunny day in Brighton. “Two creative brains must be better then one”, a shared love for photography and 7two9 was born.
Since 2014 they have worked on various of different Brighton Beard Company campaigns and through that they developed a close relationship with the products, based on mutual love and respect.
When they’re not out on a location shoot they are most likely to be found in their constant-coffee-smelling studio located in the heart of Portslade Harbour.
