What is beard oil?

We believe that natural ingredients produce the best results as after all, we’re natural beings. Some of the best remedies are found in nature, so of course we’ve looked to none other than Mother Earth for our beard oil ingredients.

Beard oil helps to moisturise your facial hair and the skin beneath. Hydrating the skin helps to soften and tame the hairs and helps to relieve any itchiness and eliminate beardruff. A good beard oil, in our opinion, will leave your beard polished, glossy and groomed, without excess greasiness.

In the market for a good beard oil? We have just the thing. Here at The Brighton Beard Company, we use a blend of four base oils:

Argan – So body-friendly you can eat it, this plant oil is sourced from the kernels of the argan tree found in Morocco. It’s incredibly moisturising and softening for skin and hair.

Jojoba – Jojoba oil is often used as a ‘carrier oil’ for fragrances and other ingredients in cosmetics due to it’s extremely inoffensive nature; antibacterial, antioxidant and non-toxic, this is truly a wonder product.

Sweet almond – Mild, light and hypoallergenic, it penetrates the skin, de-clogging the hair follicles and allowing for healthy growth.

Vitamin E – Soothing and anti-oxidising, it protects against UV damage and pollution.

No parabens, preservatives or artificial ingredients - that’s it. Remember that a little goes a long way, so a couple of drops rubbed between your palms before application should suffice. In addition to the numerous benefits we’ve listed, you won’t be left with a greasy effect since we don’t use silicone, and the added blend of essential oils give freshness to your face rug and cause it to act as a hub of aromatherapy since those oils happen to be just under your nose. We love Black Pepper and Grapefuit for an energising zing first thing in the morning, or try calming Ylang Ylang and Sandalwood if you’re feeling stressed.
